Welcome to Casey's Home Page
Jobe at the CCHS
We adoped Casey, formerly known as Jobe, from the Champaign County Human Society in August of 2003. We think he was about one year old at the time and was the perfect dog, completely obedience, house broken and well-trained - the epitome of why one should adopt an older dog.
For the first couple months we weren't even sure Casey knew how to bark. We didn't hear a peep out of him until his first Halloween, when a masked trick'o'treater's face appeared suddenly at the front window. That was enough to kick in his alarm instinct and since then he's felt responsible for guarding the house.
Casey now spends most of his days sleeping, but loves his morning walks, a ride in the car to anywhere and, of course, breakfast, dinner and any treats he can get.
His "career" highlights include being the "stay" champion of his obedience class.
Casey Chillin'
Casey's big concern these days is the UPS driver and the paper boy, both of whom concern him deeply with their daily transgressions into his domain.
Casey has a new packmate, Emma, who motivates him nearly constantly to play. He took a little while to warm to her, but now they are close packmates.
